Yadier Molina, nicknamed "Yadi," is a retired Puerto Rican professional baseball catcher. He spent his entire 19-season Major League Baseball (MLB) career with the St. Louis Cardinals (2004-2022).
Widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive catchers in baseball history, Molina won nine Gold Glove Awards and four Platinum Glove Awards. He was also a two-time World Series champion (2006, 2011).
Beyond his defensive prowess, Molina was a respected hitter and leader. He was a ten-time All-Star. He accumulated over 2,000 career hits and was known for his game-calling ability and strong throwing arm.
